New Age Drifter treats us to fresh sounds, wonderful lyrics and unique vocals

RoseRed and the Butterflies are a Folk Rock / Alternative band from North London with Singer-Songwriter / Guitarist Lydia Nicolaides at their helm.

The musical duo which also consists of Doug Currie on Cello have just unveiled their latest album New Age Drifter, which features 12 outstanding musical gems for our ears to savour.

The album treats us to fresh sounds, wonderful lyrics and unique vocals with notable tracks such as River Flows, Tickle My Feet, Fire In The Rain, Surreal, Around You and Lovers Fool.

River Flows kicks off musical proceedings with a quirky number which sees Lydia's vocals dazzle us alongside a delightful melody.

New Age Drifter treats us to an eclectic medley of instrumental melodies, electronic beats and pleasant vocals from the Queen of the pixies.

Tickle My Feet serves up a melody that is best described as joy in a musical form, with lyrics that are almost poetic in their delivery.

Fire In The Rain entertains us with soothing vocals which give life to thought provoking verses including a catchy chorus alongside a gentle melody.

Shadow Dance has an orchestral feel to it and when combined with Lydia's superb vocal performance gives a uniqueness to this track.

Surreal sees RoseRed opt for a more Rock and Roll feel for the tempo and instrumental arrangement.

Around You serves up a catchy pop tune and inspirational verses from RoseRed and the Butterflies.

True has more of a unplugged feel to it thanks to a slower tempo on the vocal side of things and also minimal instrumentals.

For You brings catchy percussion hooks into the mix and when combined with the haunting sounds of the cello and those trademark vocals means only one thing that we are in for a melodic treat.

Lovers Fool is another jewel in the musical crown that is New Age Drifter thanks to captivating melodic hooks and those oh so delightful vocals.

You Are Is a gentle ballad with beautiful lyrics which radiate love with every verse and when intertwined with a slow melody lead to something magical.

End Of The Line wraps up 12 tracks of out of this world Pixie Pop with sad lyrics and a minimal instrumental arrangement, as a music lover I would have preferred for the album to come to a close with a more up tempo song.

Catch delivers beautiful instrumentals which are a wonder to the ears especially when blended with Gina's delightful vocals.

Gina Leonard is a musician from Cambridge who recently released a five track EP - Catch, her musical style is described as contemporary folk and she has been compared to the likes of Daughter, Laura Marling and Courtney Barnett.

Playing Dead begins with a unique vocal intro and gritty beats before transforming into a more uplifting melodic arrangement which still flits between blissful and haunting.

Catch delivers beautiful instrumentals which are a real wonder to the ears especially when blended with Gina's delightful vocals.

Red Hands has a slower tempo which results in this track having more of a stripped back feel to it but regardless of this we are still treated to musical magic from Gina Leonard.

Glass Eyes is a catchy number thanks to smooth guitar riffs and slick lyrics aplenty, there's something about the vocal performance which makes this track something truly sublime.

Every Time concludes the EP with another mellow number, during which we are entertained with more of this musician's amazing lyrical prowess, vocal range and the ability to come up with mesmerizing arrangements at the blink of an eye.

A Halloween Song sees Sarantos entertain us with a upbeat pop tune which has a 60s vibe to it, with catchy pop hooks and a captivating guitar arrangement.

Sarantos has always loved Halloween and fondly remembers throwing lively costume parties in high school so it was no surprise to fans that Sarantos wanted to create a classic pop style Halloween song with an infectious melody and catchy lyrics. This song has rated very well although of course, it's specific to the month of October.

For the music video, Sarantos wanted to create a mixture of live footage and animation. The focus is on Halloween costumes, trick-or-treating, and yes, candy. There is dancing and maybe even a famous celebrity who makes a surprise guest appearance.

LA quartet Forebear treat us to a eclectic blend of instrumental melodies and unique vocals

Delroy Lindo sees Los Angeles quartet Forebear treat us to a eclectic blend of instrumental melodies and unique vocals which are finely moulded into something that is musically distinct.

Forebear sprung into existence in 2014 when Scott Goldbaum (Vocals / Melodic Guitar), crossed paths with Mike Mussleman (Drums) , Nick Chamian (Bass) and classically trained Viola player Molly Rogers thus creating a captivating line up.

The band have individually worked with the likes of Bastille and Kimbra.

Delroy Lindo performed at legendary LA venue The Troubadour and it was here they caught the attention of famed producer Eric Lilavois, who helped them with their forthcoming release Good God (which will hit the shelves on August 26).
