Soon as I come thru opens with a beautiful intro and Melro$e Young then proceeds to tell a story with his entertaining lyrics and smooth beats.
Melro$e made his name by producing beats for the likes of Bow Wow, Lil Twist, Acehood, Birdman and many other talented artists.
Encouraged by motivation from his friends, including a childhood friend who has been in jail since 2003 Melro$e turned his hand to rapping and intends to raise bail money for his friend the legitimate way.
https://soundcloud.com/ian_halsall/we-are-together We are together is a union of music genres, combining energetic Dub Step/Drum and Bass beats with some calming instruments so as not to overload your senses too much. This is the charm of Ian's music, although born in North West England he has spent most of his life amidst the bright lights of London. He previously performed as Keeping The Faith and Musical Science before dropping these in favour of his real name. Ian's musical influences are varied and range from the classics of Beethoven and Bach to The Smiths and The Verve. Ian also runs his own record label - IDGAF Media Group as a means of not only releasing his own tracks but also the tracks of other Music Producers. 22 year old Kevin Lytle is currently studying at the University of Kansas and he is inspired by the likes of Korn and Linkin Park to make music. He has only released six original songs and is confident of both his composition and performance skills, but his main focus is on graduating from College and there is no telling how his musical path will continue. Gently Sleeps is 13 elegantly crafted tributes, which celebrate 50 years since Liverpool's finest export made their mark in the good ol U S of A. https://soundcloud.com/thispiano/sets/gently-sleeps
Not only is this a beautiful tribute to one of the world's most loved bands but it's also chill out music at its finest.
With the exception of one of my favourites - We Can Work It Out, Mike has opted to add his musical magic to less popular Beatles tunes.
By no way does this choice mean Gently Sleeps will be any less enjoyable, far from it.
Whether or not you love The Beatles, this album is perfect for unwinding after a hard day's work. Since his first piano lesson at the tender age of 6, Mike has composed his own material and this has caused his passion to grow and flourish.
This passion led to the 2012 debut of his album of original compositions, titled The Piano. Mike considers these tracks as his musical autobiography. Website - http://mikemccarthypiano.com/ Facebook - http://www.facebook.com/thispiano
So Into You is a corker of a tune from its catchy instrumentals to Darren's smooth vocals.
Having won the much coveted price of Unisong, Darren easily proves why he deserved the award with the musical belter that is So Into You. Its not only Darren's first class lyrics that impress but also his excellent guitar technique. Darren also beat 6000 entries from across the world to win the 2004 Uk Songwriting Contest with Reality. He has toured across most of the US and also Hong Kong, the UK and France plus Darren supported popular music acts such as Michael Ball, Goldie Looking Chain, Scouting For Girls and John Barrowman and also lent his vocals to the Charity Single - A Miner's Song, which helped raise money for the Welsh Miner's Memorial Fund. Prussia is every rock fan's dream, with killer instrumentals, powerful vocals and addictive beats ahoy.
Prussia is also the lead single of the band's recently released EP. The Jackobins will soon be hitting the road for their summer tour where they will not only be headlining, but will also be supporting popular musicians. The Band's first video went viral and physical copies of their EP sold out practically over night and its not hard to see why. With energetic beats and ground shaking vocals, The Jackobins are certainly in a class of their own and with such a well produced EP the only way from here is up, up, up. After listening to their EP, I can guarantee their forthcoming tour will leave you wanting more from these guys and How Do You Face Life shows they can also drop a gear or two for mellow tunes. In celebration of their 2nd Anniversary, We Play Music Live are bringing the finest and frankly under rated musicians that will ever entertain you to one of London's most exclusive music venues, the Jazz Cafe.
The above line up includes some of my personal musical favourites.
Individually Jermaine Riley and Cherri Voncelle have already established themselves on the London music scene with numerous musical releases.
The musical duo recently combined their musical efforts and formed Dora Martin and since then they have reached astronomical heights. The R&B duo will now be special guests on Multi-Platinum and Brit Award Winner Gabrielle on her forthcoming UK Tour.
Next on the lineup is the sublimed voiced Scandinavian Soul Sensation that is Marie Dahlstrøm, from the first time I heard one of her songs I was absolutely blown away by her voice.
This talented vocalist recently cleaned up at the Scandinavian Soul Music Awards with not one, not even two but three well deserved awards - Best EP, Best Video and Artist Of The Year. These awards just highlighted what an amazing artist Marie really is.
My final favourite is Fudge And The Frequency, their recent release Planet Radio is funk at it's finest and just the amount of dub step, the rhythmic beats and smooth vocals are guaranteed to you grooving.
Fudge and the Frequency describe themselves as an energetic music collective and their lead singer Fudge looks as cutting edge as he sounds, his voice has a soulful rawness which comes naturally. Musically they are a fusion of funk, soul, dubstep, hip-hop, rock and reggae and Fudge's vocals sit perfectly in the middle of this beautiful fusion of genres.
If you like your soul then Neo Soul Superstar Nate James is one artist to keep an eye out for, his smooth vocals should not be ignored.
With these amazing artists forming part of the lineup, I have no doubt that the rest of the acts on the evening will be equally entertaining and on that note delay no further and get your name on the guest list pronto by e-mailing info@weplaymusic.fm to reserve your discounted tickets at £10 asap.
