El Born performed songs old and new including notable tunes such as 1982 and more recent numbers such as Kangaroo and Air.

This talented band kept the crowd entertained all the way through their set especially lead man Si Connelly, who seemed to be brimming with energy.

Their Kangaroo EP isn't due for public release till next year, but as gig goers we were provided with the wonderful opportunity of purchasing an early copy.

Introducing 17 year old Mancunian Ashley Sherlock

Ashley started his music career about a year ago and has always been musical from an early age. 

His musical inspiration comes from anything and not just other musical artists, for example one night he had to sleep rough at a train station and he was able to draw inspiration and write a song based on that night. 

Ashley doesn't compare himself to contemporary singer/songwriters as he believes his sound is unique.

Introducing you to a talented singer/bass player originally from the shores of Australia, Katie J White

I first came across her music when Francis of Muzical Mindz shared her Facebook page with me, it's a shame I missed her live performance on September 13th.

Katie is a bass player/songwriter from South West Australia, initially performing with the double bass and then electric, she has now turned her attention to the Boomslang. She has received rave reviews from producers, musicians and event organizers alike.

"Fabulous debut recording effort. Sounds sweet! Nice diversity of songs. Good use of instrumentation... and some very nice bass playing too!"

Her voice is acoustic gold, smooth and such a delight to listen to and she's also a talented musician. The sound of the bass is a joy to the ears and combined with her vocals, the album is a thing of musical beauty. Each track is the musical equivalent of vintage wine, that has had the chance to reach its peak.

With a great band backing Katie and first class production, all tracks are a delight to listen to and like a fine wine should be savoured then so should Katie's music. I hope one day I get to see this superb musician perform live.

Royce Lovett presents us with his latest and free EP titled Sunday Morning

From his early teens Royce was introduced by his mum to Christian worship bands such as Hilsong and at the same time he was also influenced by the likes of Michael Jackson.

At 15 still starving for more music he turned his attention to Hip Hop and this is when he discovered his music "idol" Musiq Soulchild and this inspired Royce further and as a result he was further inspired by the likes of greats such as Lauren Hill and The Fugees.

Royce then went onto learn how to play the guitar and this further encouraged his talent and passion for music. As of 2012, Royce is now based in Tallahassee, Florida and has the following achievements to his name.

A successful tour in France and his fifth album (fourth solo album) is in the works.

He describes his style of music as cerebral soul, which is a unique blend of alternative hip hop, soul, reggae vibes and RnB.
