End of Neil is a singer/songwriter from Stirling, Scotland. He has supported big names such as The Vaselines, Rachel Sermanni, The Lovely Eggs and played festivals such as Doune The Rabbit Hole in Scotland. In 2012 he managed to play over 70 gigs between Edinburgh, Glasgow, Carlisle, and Stirling, and this year he has added Inverness to his list of gigs played.
Additionally, End of Neil is an avid supporter of his local scene; a volunteer for Creative Stirling Community Interest Company, and a busker and leafleter for Stirling's 2013 Fringe Festival. He also runs a bi-weekly jam night at local pub Nicky Tams, and regularly supports and performs at open mics such as Nicky Tams Jam, Out of The Bedroom in Edinburgh and The Listening Rooms.
In 2012, End of Neil released his first EP 'September,' which was self-recorded, written and produced by Neil at home. It was mastered by Mark Lough at Tolbooth, Stirling, and launched at an event in Burgh Coffee House, Stirling featuring support from JP Keenan and Red Light Bordello.
The follow up, 'My Games', was launched in April 2013 at 20 Rocks, Stirling, and this time even more people came from as far afield as Edinburgh to get a copy. It's also available online at Bandcamp.
My Games is a wonderful collection of songs, which is down to Neil's skilled vocals and musical prowess. My favourite song from the EP is The Ocean is my guide is a upbeat and easy to listen to tune with some amazing guitar playing.
This year, End of Neil continues to gig lots, with shows in Glasgow, Edinburgh and a small tour of more Northern regions planned for later in the year. Also, his first full length album, 'Only Surfers Know', is being recorded at Tolbooth.
